My Mother
Ophelia
The most precious name on earth.
Ophelia, my mother's name.
I love you Ophelia. My mother. My friend. My number one fan!
I can't write the words that I wanted to say. I don't know of any to fit the day.
I miss you Ophelia. My mother. My friend. My number one fan!
I miss you terribly and have fallen away.
This day, Ophelia. Not to worry, Ophelia
I promise only for today.
I'm tired Ophelia. My mother. My friend. My number one fan!
I'm tired from stress, from progress, from deception- from grades.
I'm need you, Ophelia. My mother. My friend. My number on fan!
Happy Mother's Day, mom. Don't fret, mom.
I made it mom. I made it! I know I got the grade.
With the softness of your delicate touch shown to me all those years,
My only hope has been to make you proud.
